How to Volunteer
There are many ways you can volunteer with us including dog walking, cleaning cat kennels, bathing dogs, transporting animals to the vet and back, brushing dogs and cats, cleaning the office, administering medications, washing bedding, purchasing supplies, adopting animals at the shelter and on line, etc. Not all of our needs include one on one animal care. We also need grant writers, fund raisers, carpenters, photographers, seamtresses, etc. Whatever your personal skills are we can use them at the shelter in order to improve the lives of the animals of our parish.
Need more information on how, when and where? Just go to our contact page and send us an email. One of our volunteers will answer your email promptly with all of the information you request!
Fostering is a very rewarding experience and all costs for an animal while in foster are covered! We have lots of animals who would benefit from being in a foster home. Fostering provides a much easier transition for animals going into an adopters home and foster homes provide a much less stressful environment for our animals. WFAHS is always looking for more foster families.
